Privacy policy
What data Pulso handles, where it is stored, who can see it and how to delete it.
In short
- What you log in Pulso is stored on your phone.
- If you turn on backup, it is also stored in your own cloud (iCloud Drive on iPhone, Google Drive on Android), under your account.
- Pulso has no accounts, no servers that receive your data, and no ads, analytics or tracking. It does not connect to your bank.
- Zuhuan Software, the company that makes Pulso, does not receive and cannot see your accounts, transactions or anything you log.
- For the subscription, Apple or Google tell us about your purchase, through RevenueCat, with an anonymous identifier.
- You decide when to share a report, a receipt or a backup, and with whom.
- You can delete everything from within the app.
1. Controller
Pulso is an app by Zuhuan Software S.A.S. (Ecuadorian tax ID, RUC, in process), a company based in Ecuador. For any question about this policy or your data, write to privacidad@pulsomoney.com.
2. What data the app handles
Only what you type, attach or choose to load. It all stays on your phone (and in your cloud if you turn on backup):
- Your finances: names and balances of your accounts, their currency and the exchange rates you enter; debts and cards (installments, dates, limits); what you're owed; transactions (date, type, amount, account, category, note); recurring bills, income and subscriptions; shared businesses or assets and your share; budgets, goals and month-end closes.
- Your profile (optional): what you'd like the app to call you, your full name and ID number (they only appear on receipts you send) and your date of birth (only for the birthday greeting).
- Other people's data (optional): the names of the people, businesses or institutions you have accounts with and, if you enter them, their phone number, ID and notes. Only enter what you need and what the other person would expect you to note.
- Photos of receipts you choose to attach.
- Files you load: an Excel template, a backup or your bank's transactions file. Pulso reads them on the phone, shows you what's inside and only records what you confirm.
- Preferences: country, language, main currency, first day of the month, lock and reminders.
The app does not access your location, contacts, calendar, microphone, health data or your phone's advertising identifier.
3. Where it is stored
- On your phone, in the app's private storage, protected by the system's file protection (iOS or Android).
- The upcoming payments widget receives a summary of what's due (names, dates and amounts) on the same phone. When the phone is locked, amounts are hidden.
- System backups: if your phone makes backups (iCloud, Google or a computer), they may include Pulso's data, under your own account.
- Pulso backup: if you turn it on, the app saves copies (ZIP files and photos) to your iCloud Drive or Google Drive. They use your storage and only your account can open them. When you close a month, the monthly report (PDF, Excel and CSV) is saved there too.
- The app works offline. What you log is never sent to any server of Zuhuan Software or third parties.
4. The subscription
The subscription is bought and paid for in the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We never see your card or payment details.
To know whether your subscription is active and to restore it on another phone, Pulso uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States) as our service provider. RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous identifier that Pulso creates at random, without your name, email or financial data;
- the purchase data provided by Apple or Google: the plan, dates, free trial, renewals and cancellations, store country, currency and price;
- technical data needed for the connection: device type, operating system, app version, language and IP address.
We use this data only to activate and restore your subscription, handle claims and keep the company's books (for example, how many subscriptions there are). We do not use it for advertising or profiling. RevenueCat processes it in the United States under its privacy policy; Apple and Google, under theirs (Apple, Google).
5. What Pulso doesn't do
It doesn't ask you to create an account or sign in. It has no servers that store what you log. It includes no analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party tools, other than RevenueCat for the subscription. It does not sell, rent or share data. It does not profile you or make automated decisions about you. It does not connect to your bank.
6. Crash reports
If you agreed in your phone's settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may give us anonymous crash reports and app usage statistics. They do not include what you log in Pulso. You can turn this off in your phone's privacy settings.
7. Phone permissions
- Photos: to attach images you already have; the system only provides the ones you choose.
- Camera: only when you tap “Take photo” to capture a receipt; the photo is kept inside the app.
- Face ID or fingerprint: to open the app if the lock is on. The app never receives your biometric data; the system only tells it whether the check succeeded.
- Notifications: due-date reminders are scheduled on your phone and never go through a server.
The app does not request location, contacts or microphone permissions.
8. When data leaves your phone
Only in these cases:
- when you share a report (PDF, Excel, CSV or image), a receipt, a statement, the template or a backup using your phone's share menu;
- when the app saves copies to your iCloud Drive or Google Drive, if you turned on backup;
- the subscription data described in section 4.
The backup file has no password: keep it somewhere safe. If you give the template to an AI assistant, you do so yourself, with the one you choose, under that service's policy.
9. Retention and deletion
What you log stays until you delete it:
- Delete everything from the app: More › Data and backup › “Delete all data on this phone” (it asks you to confirm twice).
- Uninstalling the app deletes the data from the phone, but not the backups in your cloud: remove them from iCloud Drive (Files app › iCloud Drive › Pulso) or from Google Drive.
Since you have no Pulso account, there is no data of yours to delete on our servers.
Subscription data is kept as long as needed to support the subscription and for the company's accounting and legal obligations. If you want it deleted, write to privacidad@pulsomoney.com with the order number on your Apple or Google receipt (so we can find your purchase without asking for any other data).
10. Your rights
Under Ecuador's Personal Data Protection Law and the law of your country, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use and take it with you. You can do almost all of this yourself in the app, because your data is on your phone: you see it, edit it, export it and delete it. For anything else, write to privacidad@pulsomoney.com and we'll answer within the legal deadlines. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
11. Security
The protection of your data depends mostly on your phone and your Apple or Google account: use a passcode and Face ID or fingerprint, keep your system up to date and turn on two-step verification for your account. Pulso comes with its lock turned on.
12. Children
Pulso is a tool for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect anyone's data.
13. This website
pulsomoney.com is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies, forms, analytics or advertising. Cloudflare processes technical data from your visit (such as your IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under its privacy policy.
14. Changes
If the way Pulso handles data changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its date and mention it in the app's update notes.
